Hi - I know there are a lot of black screen complaints out there, but I'm running out of ideas. Yesterday, my OBS stopped working with my Nextech usb plug-in webcam. I bought the camera on December 29th, and it had been working until Wednesday, when it started simply showing a black screen. I retried it a bit (turning OBS on and off, unplugging and replugging the camera), and it seem to work for a moment, then froze. Every time after that, it just showed a black screen. I went and got a replacement came of the same kind, and it made no difference. Today, I noticed that display and window capture are coming up the same. My laptop's built-in webcam seems to be the only exception - OBS still pics that up.
I've been sifting through information, including the "Laptop? Black screen when capturing?" entry. Mine's an Acer, not Nvidia (I checked for similarities that might apply to the instructions, but to no avail), I can't find more than one graphics adapter, and "compatibility mode" doesn't seem to fix the problem either.
I'm mostly concerned with my plug-in webcam. If you're wondering how I use OBS, it's mostly with that, recording myself drawing. I sometimes stream Windows Paint. (Haven't tried any games as yet). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling OBS several times, and that hasn't made a difference so far. I'm used to running OBS with several tabs open at the same time, and I haven't had problems until now (running it with not other programs open doesn't seem to make a difference). I'm running out of ideas, and any other possible solutions would be helpful.

PS: I just noticed that all my sources are showing the laptop webcam now, for some reason. I thought it might be because the Nextech webcam is uplugged, but it acts the same with it plugged in. I'm just waiting for the next mystery.....
PSS: I tried to attach some jpegs. They don't seem to want to attach. :/
