The audio input file not showing in the audio mixer

Good morning, I have a challenge making my input audio file appear in the audio mixer pan to be able to properly control the volume.

For example, I input an audio file (royalty-free music) intended to be used as the background music. I need to be able to control the volume so that it does not trump over the audio of the recording, how do I control it if it does not appear in the audio mixer pane?

It's playing without a meter? Haven't seen that one yet. Or have you even gotten that far?

Your screenshot doesn't show if you're in Studio Mode or not. Studio Mode lets you set things up *without* them going live immediately, and then switch to the finished version. Non-Studio Mode does everything live. Only what's live, has a meter and goes to the output.

So, if you're in Studio Mode, then your cropped screenshot could be entirely valid. There's the source, but no meter or sound because it's not live yet.
