Text (GDI+) Sources don't center properly

It's entirely possible I'm just doing something wrong, but I haven't been able to get Text sources to center correctly. It's as if there is a margin on the right side of the source that causes the text to be off-center. Please see screenshots.

In my testing, it seems to only happen if you use custom text extents. Without them it aligns correctly.

You're correct. I should have mentioned that. I need my text boxes to be rectangular rather than square. Is there a way to achieve that without using custom text extents?
