Terrible image quality with USB Capture, but looks fine in filter preview mode

I just got a new Sony ZV-1 to use for streaming and green screen video primarily. However, I have had a huge number of problems getting this to work. I would greatly appreciate any help pointing me in the right direction.

First, Image quality for reference from the Sony Remote desktop camera control: https://imgur.com/3gld8mn

I got one a USB video captures from Amazon, and OBS does recognize it as a video source. However the image quality is terrible within OBS. It is washed out, way too bright, and no contrast. Image for reference: https://imgur.com/rp0jGgH

I assumed it was an issue with the capture card, and that the quality just wasn't there. However, when I go into the filter options for the video source in OBS, the video quality is MUCH higher, and much closer to the quality in the Sony application. While not 100%, it would definitely be "close enough" to use. This indicates the problem is within OBS, but I have no idea where to start since it should be the same image. I also confirmed I get a similar video quality using that source when I open it in Google Meet. Reference image from within the Filters view in OBS: https://imgur.com/YyyV8V2

I've seen others post here that this is a bug with the image preview and does not show up in the final stream or output. However, this is not the case for me. I confirmed with streaming through VirtualCam and recording that the issues are present in the final version as well.
