For anyone who doesn't see the hotkeys like me. I reinstalled Python, but using version 1.2. As soon as I did that, everything started working.

OK... I have the script loaded, python installed, empty text source and hotkeys setup... Now how the heck do I get it linked to the text source?? I have more than one text source on screen and none are updating/changing when i use hotkeys. TIA
You must go to Tools > Scripts menu.
The click the script and you'll see options. Find the option to select the desired source to use.

Hello upgradeQ: I could use some hints on getting your Tally Counter working. Here's what I have installed:
  • Windows 11
  • OBS Studio 31.1.1
  • Python 3.13.5
I have the Python install location defined in the Windows PATH/Environment Variables, and it executes satisfactorily in PowerShell command line prompts. The same path is defined in the OBS Scripts/Python Settings/Python Install Path. I have downloaded your source code and added hotkey_counter.py to the Scripts. Python is showing as Not currently loaded. And I have a Source/Text(GDI+) field defined.

And that's as far I get. Are the Tally Counter Hotkey entries supposed to be generated in Settings/Hotkeys? Are there supposed to be Properties showing somewhere at this point? Other (lua) scripts are working fine.

What am I missing?

Regards. . .
