Hi

I have a laptop that unfortunatly doesn't meet the system requirements. Is there a way to adjust the software in a way that it functions well?
Or is it possible to get a older version of the program with less system requirements?

No and no.

The system requirements haven't changed significantly since original release.

Sometimes thing are just not capable and tbh even if you could frig it the result wouldn't be pretty. If you post your laptop spec we can see if it is possible or laugh if its that bad :-)

Ok, hope you don't laugh too much... :)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz, 2301 Mhz, 2 core(s), 4 logic processor(s)
RAM 4,00 GB

I've see worse but its got a low CPU benchscore as @Harold is showing. What are you trying to record? gameplay or just your desktop say for an application?

have you tried OBS on it already? will it install?

Yes I have installed OBS. Tried to record Minecraft gameplay.
Worked pretty good, however some anoying lagging.
So if there is a way to adjust the settings I'll be happy, ;)

Use Studio.
Simple output mode, indistinguishable recording quality, software low cpu use or hardware qsv encoder
