Question / Help System requirements

I have a laptop on which I want to record my gameplay in good quality, preferably 720p.

My system specs are:

Intel i5 2410M 2.3GHz (Turbo boost upto 2.9GHz)
NVIDIA Geforce GT 525M
16gb RAM

I'd this a good enough computer?

It's working on the desktop and for any other functions, but for gaming very low fps. Around 1 fps recorded. Why, because gpu bad? Or cpu?

With the exception of the Intel i7, I've got everything else, and from what I read the i7 is needed for 1080p HD, and yet I'm already watching videos in that level on my laptop with i6
