I am new(ish) to using OBS. I've mainly been just making recordings and uploading them to my course portal. However, I'm interested in streaming via Zoom with a virtual camera (or open to another platform where I can interact live with attendees). I tested it out on my own several times back in November, logging in on a second and sometimes third device for testing - and it worked fine. But when I actually ran a "real" livestream with a small group of attendees whom I was interacting with while teaching, the stream suddenly stopped about 20-30 minutes in, and the attendees couldn't see my virtual camera any more, and I couldn't get it running again (but attendees were still connected to Zoom). I do not have a crash log or any other details. I gave up trying to do a live stream of a virtual camera for a while, but am interested in trying it again. A few questions:
1. What is required of my system to run OBS with the virtual camera live streaming to Zoom, with me interacting with attendees? I am playing a recorded video in OBS, have a live video of me talking, plus some JPGs I move around on the screen. I have access to 2 different Macbook Pros with fairly similar specs, one is just 3 years newer.
2. How do I test on my own but reproduce having several users live on the call with me?
3. Any other tips for figuring this out and feeling confident that live streaming is going to work next time?
