I'm looking into upgrading my streaming setup and am trying to figure out the cheapest way to be able to stream 4k60p
The Elgato 4k60 pro mk2 capture card looks reasonable, so unless somebody has a better alternative, this will be the capture card which i will use in the system.
I'm aware that software (CPU) encoding might give slightly better quality than hardware (GPU) encoding, but imho the difference is so small that it doesn't matter much.
So the main question is, which way is cheaper, getting a CPU that can handle it or a GPU?
And the second question: Which CPU / GPU is the minimum to be able to stream 4k60p?
