Bug Report Sync Offset screws up Ducking

Lets say you have a mic with a 2 second Sync Offset, and that mic is the Ducking source for game audio. When you speak, your game audio will be ducked instantly, even though your voice is 2 seconds away! It sounds pretty jarring having a moment of silence before you speak.

Although a better question might be why you need to have a 2 second sync offset and address that.

Add 2000 to the attack value for your compressor.
Attack is not a delay. It's the time it takes to reach full compression. Compression begins immediately and is noticeable with high compression ratios. Also, now you have to add 2000 to the release and your speech will be followed by 2 seconds of silence.

Although a better question might be why you need to have a 2 second sync offset and address that.
Elgato Game Capture HD. Not exactly 2 seconds, it was just an example.

It looks like the max delay it can handle might be 1 second, but anyway using a VST filter to do this is spelled out here: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/elgato-game-capture-hd-and-audio-filters.83501/#post-348649

That cured the similar problem I was having, handling the 700 ms delay on the video from my Elgato HD 60, when the Ducking filter only allows a max initial delay of 500 ms--so my game audio at best was going quiet 200 ms *before* my voice came in. With the VST solution as spelled out in that post, that 200 ms gap is finally gone, huzzah! (Now just running the Ducking filter's default 6 ms in and 200 ms out timings; I wanted it to come back to full volume faster than 200, but testing showed lower values started to cause static bursts in the game audio, so I guess I'll stick to the default 200 ms release. : P)
