Question / Help Sync background music from microphone with desktop audio

While streaming i'm listening to music through speakers, i want my viewers to hear the same music.
The microphone does of course pick up some of the music which sounds quite bad.
So now i adjusted my microphone / speaker setup so that the microphone picks up only a little bit of the sound comming from the speakers.
Now i wish to include the desktop audio in my stream to get high quality music in my stream.

The problem is now that the music which gets picked up by the microphone has a delay compared to the desktop audio.
I figured already out that i can delay the desktop audio in the advanced properties. My problem is with finding the exact value. When using the monitor functionality the audio delay which i set before is not used, the delay is only used in the real stream or recording.
Is there any easy way to get these two streams exactly in sync?

Record both tracks into separate audio tracks, and use something like audacity to find the sync value
My personal sync of mic/desktop is about 10-12 ms, but that may vary for you

I normally do test recordings to get it close enough (you can also adjust the sync delay on the fly during recording), but Zidakuh's method is objectively the most precise way of doing it if you're able to use that flowpath.

Just hope that your audio sync stays stable, otherwise you'll be chasing your tail when things drift apart.
