Switching View from OBS to Another Application

Using MacOS Catalina (10.15.5) and having an issue figuring out a viewing problem with OBS (25.0.8).

I was home sick today and someone else ran a livestream and did something accidentally--when switching from OBS to another application and back again the view does not behave as expected--I used to be able to hit command-tab and cycle between open applications (as is usual). Now, either OBS disappears (I can toggle seeing it by clicking the OBS icon in the menu bar), or OBS is visible but switching to another application does nothing (OBS continues to be on top when I hit command-tab).

I thought it might be a Mission Control issue or some other Mac-related "feature" that got enabled by mistake, but I cannot figure it out.

I ended up resetting OBS per the instructions in this OBS thread: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to-reset-settings-to-default.26869/

1.) Open finder
2.) Press Shift-Command-G
3.) Paste in: ~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio.
4.) Delete the cont

So far, that has removed the issue, whatever it was. Sure wish I knew!
