switching scenes with Stream Deck XL causes OBS to crash

System was working fine. I tried to show/hide a nested scene on several top-level scenes with a hotkey, then bound that hotkey to my Stream Deck. After one of the first (but not the first) invocations of that button, any scene change invoked from the Stream Deck causes OBS to crash. Changing scenes from the OBS scene menu still works fine.

I would appreciate any help in troubleshooting.

Seems to be working fine with the virtual Stream Deck app running on an iPhone. It is only the HW Stream Deck XL that induces the crash.

Thanks for asking. I think everything but Mac OS is at latest and greatest. I can't upgrade to Big Sur yet, as Avid Pro Tools won't run on it.

That said, I did some more poking today. I recreated the Stream Deck buttons that switch OBS scenes. After that, it seems to be working. A bit worrisome, as the only outward difference between the new and the old is the pictures on the buttons. It doesn't seem as if that would be able to explain the crash. Which was 100% reproducible when from the time it first appeared to the time I replaced the buttons.

Oh well, everyone can consider this issue (provisionally) resolved.
