Hi there!
My use case for OBS is twofold: I use OBS as a virtual Camera in Teams, and I use OBS to arrange and record screencasts for trainings.
My hardware isn‘t exactly the newest, and using Teams is a drain on resources anyway. Which is why am thinking about switching the base resolution between my two use cases. When in a call, use 720p, when recording use 1080p.
I understand OBS persists base resolution via profiles. Since I want to use the same scenes – well, not the same, since the transformations are different to accommodate the difference in resolution, but they are identical in term of sources and relative placement of sources etc. pp. I am now stuck with to Scene Collections ("1080p" and "720p") and two Profiles ("Screencast" and "Virtual Camera").
In order to switch between my two use cases, I have to switch the Scene Collection, and then switch the Profile. This feels overly complicated and cumbersome.
Am I doing this right? Is there another way I am missing?
Thank you!
Sascha
