Suggestion: Noise Gate attack buffer

I would like an option for the Open Threshold to work a bit differently.

currently, you use it to open the noise gate when a peak is hit, and you can set it in a few ways.
1) you can set it high, so that in noisy environments it's less likely to open if you're not talking, With the other options provided to us this poses little risk of cutting the end of our words off. PROBLEM: doesn't help the noise gate open if the start of your word is quiet. leaving for an unnatural sounding commentary.

2) you can set it low, so that you're sure that the start of all your words are in your audio track. PROBLEM in a noisy environment this could mean you might as well disable the noise gate, as then it might be too low to block out most of the unwanted noise.

3) somewhere in between, so that MAYBE the start of your words won't get cut off, but you remove some more unwanted noise gate openings. this is a compromise that i don't think it great. we could use Push To Talk, but before we do that, let's talk about a fourth option?

4) We add 2 new features.

a) An ability for the noise gate to include some audio a second before the noise gate opened.
b) a slight but optional delay to the audio for feature 1 to work with.

with this setup, i can set the open threshold high, and with feature 1 about 500 ms or something of previous audio will still be included if a quiet part of that word was below the Open Threshold.

I find PTT to feel unnatural, distracting, and if you forget to press it during a recording - hopefully it wasn't a one time only moment. I don't know if it's possible to make this work without the audio delay, or if there are other or better ways to implement something similar. So we can make it optional for people who don't have the same needs.

There is push to mute, but again this automated feature might prove to be a great addition for the right people. On TOP of the Push To Mute.

Use ReaGate, it has an RMS Window feature to average the input detection, as well as a Low Pass and High Pass filter to cut out certain frequencies, preventing them from opening the gate
