(Suggestion) Channel Pan Tool?

Hello,

I was very happy to see that OBS has recently implemented surround sound support for recording and streaming. Although I love the feature, it seems that input/desktop devices that aren't also 5.1/7.1 are simply outputted in all of the channels, which sounds really gross when you have a mono microphone that should be routed to the center speaker. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but it doesn't seem that OBS allows the user to pan mono/stereo sources in the surround mix? Just thought it would be a great idea. Thanks for reading. :)

Unfortunately not, that panner is only stereo.

Andersama wrote a filter enabling routing for surround sound. It needs to be packaged properly before being submitted as a PR. Maybe I'll add also some mixing capabilities to it on top of custom routing.

Andersama or me will update the post. But it might take months before this feature is merged into master. It's a minor feature.
