Suddenly getting crackling sound from Avermedia Extreme Cap U3

2 weeks ago everything was working fine.
Today I switched to my Capture Card scene in OBS again and realized that the sound coming from the Card is crackling like crazy.
I don't think I installed any updates or things like that. Here's a short video of my problem: https://youtu.be/BFS-imxlcM4

Edit: If I change the Bitrate in my Windows Sound settings it sounds normal for 1 second before crackling again.

I fixed it myself!
For everyone with the same problem, AverMedia states on the support page for the ExtremeCap U3 that it is not supported for the new Windows 10 Version 2004.
I had no idea how to fix the sound but this reddit post changed everything: https://www.reddit.com/r/AverMedia/...ncing_an_audio_stuttering_issue_with/fr73akv/
For a quick solution you can just run the program "DPC Latency Checker". As long as it is running in the background the sound is fine.
Someone else posted a link to the driver page for another AverMedia Capture Card. I thought why not give it a try, and after installing and restarting the sound sounds fine again! No idea why but it does!
Theres some little crackles from time to time but it's definetely 100 times better than before.
Hope I can help someone who has the same problem with this!

You are a legend. If anyone else is having this problem in 2021, just google, DPC Latency Checker. There's a version on Softpedia. Can now use my ExtremeCap U3. Amazing.
