Question / Help Suddenly after hundreds of hours of streaming...

Like the title says I've streamed live while recording for hundreds of hours in the past few months and suddenly the LGHD2 is not capturing the HDMI audio. Not sure what happened. I think everything seems the same.... didn't do any updates of Windows last night to affect my playback and recording settings. etc. Didn't do anything to settings in OBS... Not sure. Anyone know what might be the prob from looking at my uploaded log?

Hm, there appears to be a Error Code of some sort, are you sure that you have plugged your Equipment correctly in the right plug-ins?.

02:19:19.406: [AMF] Encountered Exception during AMF initialization: Unable to load 'amfrt64.dll', error code 126.

@Dibowac12341478N That's a standard error. He doesn't have any AMD video hardware so the AMF encoder doesn't load. Totally normal, not indicative of any problem.

@HotelCharliHill Does it work in other programs? Does removing and re-adding the source for the LGHD2 help?

@Dibowac12341478N So, would that AMF error come from my streaming pc or my gaming pc? I don't have a GPU in my streaming rig which obs is on, just using the onboard chip's CPU as the graphical processor. But I DO have TWO AMD Radeon R9 290's inmy gaming rig. That's why I ask if that could be the issue.

@Sapien Does what work with other programs? OBS? Or the LGHD2? Not really sure if the capture card will hear and transfer to other capture software because I only use OBS. I could try with recentral but I've never even set it up. It captured video the entire time though... i suspect if anything it is happening because a problem between the surround sound receiver and the capture card is occurring (before I couldn't get sound either, but an electrical signal was higher to OBS so I'm not sure what the difference is).

By removing and re-adding the source, do you mean the LGHD2 in the OBS stream scene? Remove it and then readd it? Or are you referring to something in the window's playback/recording settings?

Thanks for the help guys

The AMF "error" came from whichever system generated the log file. It doesn't mean anything other than the fact that no AMD hardware encoder was detected.

Yes, does the LGHD2 work in other applications (like whatever AVerMedia ships with it). You want to narrow down if this is an OBS issue or a general capture card issue so you can troubleshoot the right thing.

Yes, I mean remove and re-add the video capture device source for the LGHD2 in OBS.

Oh okay cool. Right. the AMD thing may be because I used to have a 2gb amd radeon gpu plugged in to that computer. But figured out the onboard CPU would do graphics better than the old card. Wonder how I can uninstall that so it doesn't look for it anymore... probably doesn't matter.

okay, i'll try RECentral later and report back what I find. thanks, sapiens. And if nothing there I'll try removing and readding the source. Gonna check cables too to make sure nothing unplugged when I stepped on some yesterday, but it's odd that all i'd lose is sound but still have hdmi video..

thanks and by the way, I checked out your twitch, great quality on your vods :)

Well alright Sapiens.

And HotelCharliHill, well i would say that well, the issue has been already answered i suppose.
