Question / Help Sudden loss of internet connetion with obs studio

Hey guys,

so i've been having these issues now for almost a week and i still don't know how to solve them.

The stream is live for about 5-10 minutes without any problems when all of the sudden the kb/s,which have been stable at about 2500 the whole time, drop down to 0 which causes my stream to go offline for like 5-10 seconds just for it to automatically reconnect and go live again. After 2-5 minutes this starts again.

Things i've tried so far:

- resetting the streamkey
- setting the keyframeinterval to 2
- changing to multiple different servers within europe
- lowering the bitrate from 2500 (which worked fine for me all the time) to 2000
- checking the box "use new networkcode"
- checked my 100k internet-connection for package loss ... it's 0%
- as far as i got it,obs is not blocked by my firewall

i'll include the log of my last obs connection loss. i hope theres someone on this forum who can help me.

Alright,so I took a look at the tips offered on the site. They're ... lets call it "semi helpful".

"Try changing server" - I obviously tried it. Just tried the NY-server,didn't help. The only difference was,that this time it didn_t take 5-10 minutes but 25 minutes until the first disconnect.

"Try lowering Bitrate" - Although I never had problems streaming in 2500 bitrate,i tried it lowering my bitrate to 2000. Didn't help.

"Don't stream over wirelss" - Never have,never will.

"Try another streaming service" - That i actually haven't tried,yet. I will,but i can't quite imagine that being helpful.

"Check your firewall" - No need to change something about the ports since I have a router with a direct connection, so theres pretty much nothing to change.

"Check your anti-virus software" - Obviously i already did that. Checked it again about an hour ago. I also put in an exception for obs classic and studio,both 32 and 64 bit. Didn't help.

"Check bundled network software" - I do not have anything similar to this installed on my computer.

"Speed testing" - I have a 100k connection. According to a speed test i actually receive 103k and send 5k up. I am aware of the fact that these numbers are only realistic under perfect conditions which almost never exist. I obviously did a test on my package loss,which came out at a solid 0,0%. I used this connection for 3 24h-streams,in which i never experienced obs-connection-losses.

"Update Network Adapter Driver" - I'm not quite sure if this is about my router or my computer?

"Bad router or bad networking hardware" - As i already mentioned, i used this exact router for all of my 3 24h-streams as well as for all the other streams i did by now. I do not see how this router can all of a sudden be out of date.


I'm really lost. And i don't see how checking for other streaming services is going to help me solve this problem.

If other services work, then it's a problem with Twitch and not on your end.

I kinda get the feeling that there could be something wrong with my obs studio? I just did a teststream with obs classic and i only lost like 290 frames,which euals 0,60%.

I might need to check my settings and see whats different between stdio and classic,maybe that helps.
