I've been streaming Starcraft with OBS for about 3 months now. It's always worked perfectly and ran lightning fast.
As of today, I attempted to do some streaming and was hit with sudden random major FPS drop in Starcraft.
This occurs consistently anytime both OBS and SC are open- if I quit OBS and relaunch SC, SC runs perfectly fine. As soon as I boot OBS back up though, the insane frame loss occurs. THis is NOT while actually "streaming" - this is simply happening with OBS open, sitting idle, no recording or streaming.
I've gone through and checked all my OBS settings- can't find anything that might have changed, everything looks like I normally have it. It's also up to date, and so are my GFX drivers.
Tried running Overwatch while streaming, ran perfectly fine. Seems isolated to Starcraft. I have already talked with their support team and they don't know what it is, they just say "its a compatibility issue with OBS". This is the first time it's ever happened, and none of my hardware nor settings have changed.
