Hello all,
I encounter a strange problem with my OBS. Until now, my OBS was running well and I had not any significant problem, so I decided 3 days ago to increase my bitrate from 3500 to 4000 and increase the downscale filter from 16 samples to 32 bits, but suddenly when I started my stream, I noticed FPS drop in OBS from 60 FPS to 15-30 FPS (the FPS in game did not change).
So after that, I decided to get back my OBS settings to what they were when everything was okay, but I still get this FPS drop, I tried to reinstall OBS from scratch but anything has changed and the problem is still here.
I did not touched anything in Windows apart of OBS settings, and I also noticed these FPS drops in other software like StreamLabs OBS.
Here my OBS settings when everything was okay (and I got back to these one when I noticed the FPS problem):
- Base resolution: 2560 x 1440
- Scaled resolution: 1280 x 720
- Bitrate 3500 with CBR
- Keyframe interval: 2
- Profile high
- Downscale filter: Bicubic (16 samples)
I noticed too that the FPS drop is happening even if the stream or the recording is not started (I just open OBS and the FPS drop when I am on the game...).
My GPU has never been overloaded when OBS was running fine, so I have no idea of the cause of that problem, like I said, it started suddenly (no driver update, any changes apart of the ones in OBS that i listed).
I hope you guys can help me to resolve this problem. :D
