I thought the developers (and new users)
would like to hear that I successfully ran a live football production last week
for about three hours. I was only recording, not streaming.
But we had a number of scenes and three cameras
- HD-SDI through Black Magic DUO2,
- SD Composite through an Ausprey card
- HD USB H.264.
Along the way the ability to compose new scenes was impaired where
the camera feeds would no show up on the composition.
I noticed the red square in the top left corner... like it tought the image dimensions was 0x0 ?
But all of my pre-composed scenes worked fine throughout.
Touch ups of scenes worked too. The SD Composite camera was on the scoreboard clock
and was cropped into a scene. I was often touching up the crop due to physical drift of the tripod head.
The production was crash free during the entire operation. (Was on v27.0.1 I think).
I shut down the recording to close out the file, all good.
Exiting the program showed a crash message- different from the one that I get when I start
and then exit the program, which happens all the time.
I can detect no ill effects of the crash, I loose nothing, and the settings are the same when I relaunch the
program.
I will upload the crash log when I get the machine setup at home soon.
