Hello so iv'e been recording a lot of geometry dash with obs for my chanel.Everything is fine i watched some tutorials for better quality and all.
But when i record there is a little frame freeze every 5 seconds or so in my video,wich bothers me.
Can someone help me solve this issue 'cause i really think that my pc config is enough for recording Geometry dash.
My config :
RX 5700XT
Ryzen 5 3600x
16g 3200MHz
And one 240Hz monitor (if it can help explain)
There is an image of my recording settings.

Thanks.

Let's knock out some of the most common causes for performance and other issues first:

1) Run OBS as administrator;
2) Windows 10 settings--->Gaming--->Change "Game DVR" to "OFF" and "Game Mode" to "ON";
3) OBS settings-->Advanced--->Change "Colour Space" to "Partial";
4) Separate your capture sources to different scenes, as having muyltiples on the same one is heavily discouraged;
5) OBS settings--->Output--->Recording Tab--->Change "Encoder" to x264, "Rate Control" to "CRF", "CRF" to a number between 16-23 (lower number= higher quality but larger filesize), "CPU Preset" to "Very Fast" or "Faster" and "Profile" to "High";
6) Change your recording format to .mkv. After you are done recording, you can click on the OBS main windows--->File--->remux recordings to convert to .mp4. If any problem occurs while recording and the file does not finalize correctly, saving to .mp4 will make the file unrecoverable, which is not an issue if saved to .mkv.
7) If possible, cap your game FPS to a multiple of 60, whichever value it can sustain consistently.

After commiting to these changes, test again to check if your problem and possibly others too have been corrected.
