Question / Help Stuttering while recording on GTX 1060

I get a lot of stuttering when using OBS and trying to game capture, using the specific screen setting. I'm playing Hallow Knight (Not a demanding game) I have recording set to 40Mbps NVENC CBR flv (Ive tried MP4 and MKV, no difference) and pretty much everything else on default. When I use ShadowPlay at pretty much any quality 30, 40, 50Mbps etc. It's perfect, so I know my computer is capable. I could use ShadowPlay but I would just prefer to use OBS. I have a AMD FX 8350 at stock and 16gb of RAM, GTX 1060 6gb and everything has the latest drivers. Any ideas?

With shadowplay, your GPU, CPU and the PCIe bus has no real additional load.
With NVENC in OBS, you still have increased PCIe bandwidth load and GPU load (for rescaling/filtering and rendering your scene).
I would also recommend to switch from 40Mbps CBR to a quality based variable bitrate setting. I think it's called CQP and if you set the quality factor to some thing between 14 and 17, it should look very good.

Without an actual log file, any other advice would only be a wild guessing.

Sounds good, I will try it out with CQP and see what happens. I will also pull a log file. Thanks for your help.
