OBS Log: https://obsproject.com/logs/sQTimEXoZBUK0a-d

Video game: FFXIV (since I didn't see that in logs.)

"Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 985/7814 (12.6%)"

So I am super overwhelmed and not sure what to do but I am pretty inconsistently getting GREAT footage for many minutes at a time-- and then stuttering footage other times. I have for instance yesterday recorded 16 minutes straight of IMMACULATE footage, it looked perfect and had no stutter. Then suddenly after the 16minute mark or so it began to stutter. I have utterly no idea how or why...

Any advice/help would be incredibly appreciated.

Is my hardware just too weak and I should be looking at upgrading my components? I am not sure, I honestly thought a 1080TI should be able to do this. I honestly get GENUINELY no lag in game. None. It's not until after I open the footage and go "WHAT?!?!?!" that I even realize what happened in the first place...

Not sure but I think it could be your resolution. It's capturing video at 3440x1440.

Maybe reduce the capture resolution down to 1920x1080 ?

Your log...

I was thinking it might be that but I have captured a few times in the past really really perfect footage. Like even just this morning I captured a ~16 minute long dungeon with 0 stutters or delays. But that was after a full computer restart, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it tbh?

But then after that recording everything stuttered and delayed really badly. Like comically so.

Hmm there could be a background service or app running. Check your processes in task manager? Sorry I can't be much more help than that!
