Hey!
I like to use OBS for primarily recording. It's a really great software for that with the noise gate and so on!
I've been attempting to record my native 3440 x 1440 resolution, not stream.
I have a GTX 980TI
a 3930k at 4.2 ghz
64 GB of DDR3 RAM
and Windows 10
However, no matter what FPS I try to record in, it records at 24-28 FPS. I use NVENC encorder, I've tried x264.
Currently I have it at NVENC, flv, and High Quality, Medium File Size. However, I get stutters and FPS drops all over. I am attempting 30 fps.
I am attempting with Dark Souls 3.
I am not sure if I am expecting too much -- I've seen recordings of people pulling it off with less hardware than mine. Is there something I am doing wrong, or do I just have unrealistic expectations? It appears to work with Shadowplay.
I do have GSYNC enabled.
Thanks. :)
