Question / Help Studio vs Classic... Twitch

I used to stream on Twitch last year daily. I used Classic then. Looking at the streams the quality was great, and looked clean. Now I have gone back to streaming and using studio, but my streams look fuzzy.

Should I go back to Classic, or is there some links/help someone can give to help me clear it up a little?

Current settings:

Encoder: x264
Rate Control: CBR
Bitrate: 2500
Keyframe: 2
CPU Usage: faster (Changed to test, but no difference from veryfast)
Profile: Main
Tune: none

Base Res: 1080p
Output Res: 720p
Downscale Filter: Bilinear (Tired all three no noticeable change in either)
FPS: 30

there is a big difference between faster and veryfast

there is also a difference in the downscale filters. Bilinear just blurs everything to the right resolution, bicubic makes the video really sharp, lanczos does the best job of keeping detail without making the video too sharp.

The quality shouldn't really be affected by classic/studio. Just your settings. But the advantage of studio is much more features, much more optimization, etc etc.

If you include a log or a sample stream I can help you but for the most part your settings look fine.

I have made a tutorial going through all the settings for streaming which can be seen here.

Thank you, I watched the video. I'll test with 3500kps, but I thought it would impact the viewers too much as a non-partnered streamer.

Sort of, if I stream at 720p I go with 3000, but for 1080p you probably would want to go with 3500. If your viewers are complaining either lower your bitrate or tell them to upgrade their wifi lol
