Studio - No Audio In Recording, Stream Sounds Fine

Same problem for me. Try out OBS Studio, and maybe that will work. I started out with OBS Studio and then tried regular OBS, unfortunately it didn't work for me. If anyone can find a solution, help!

Try using VLC as playback means.

Download VLC from http://www.videolan.org/ and play the recording back with that.

VLC works for me.
However, I've never heard of VLC before today. I'd be surprised if many had.
This does show that the audio information is in the files, but not accessible to the players I've used before VLC.
I tried VLC's conversion feature to produce an MP4. That worked, but the audio was again only audible when the MP4 file was played by VLC.
How do we get OBS Studio to record audio that any player can reproduce?

Sadly this is not an OBS problem. OBS uses standard codecs the fact that they can't be understood by many players and editors is the problem of the player or editor :-(
