I'm trying to use OBS Studio on my new set-up but I'm having massive problems with Game-Capture which is making it a nightmare to use (and quite frankly goes below my quality standard). The problem is Game Capture on most games is causing in-game stutter (NOT RECORDING OR STREAMING RELATED, caused just by being hooked) whenever the hook is enabled, and display capture won't capture any fullscreen application (just a beautiful black screen).
To explain further,
Sonic Generations : Freezes every other second for a full second just by being hooked (makes the game unplayable since the game relies on frames for inputs, constant 60 is required). If I start recording the issues disapears, however if I wait to long to start recording or I end a recording and try to load a level the game crashes. Anti-cheat and Multi-Adapter settings had no effect.
Dying Light : Game won't capture over 20 FPS, even at a bitrate of 10 (yes, I tried that). In-game I noticed my framerate goes from 120+ (according to afterburner) down to 70-80 just by having OBS open with the hook. (Note : I turned down view distance to check if it was memory or CPU load, but not even setting Dying Light to low, which was even capture-able on my old GTX660 build was working).
Phantasy Star Online 2 : Log says it hooked successfully however still captures a black screen. (Note : Anti-cheat required thanks to game-guard software, multi-adaptor did nothing). Frame-rate caps at 60 or V-sync is forced when game is hooked (I like Nvidia's "Fast" v-sync setting so this is annoying).
Super Galaxy Ultra : Causes stuttering very similar to Sonic Generations, however it doesn't stop when recording starts and is clearly visible in the recording. At least it doesn't crash afterwards (in-fact closing OBS or removing game capture instantly fixes the problem).
Skyrim : Crashes my ENB... end test >.<
DOOM : Causes huge increase in frame-time, even on low settings, I used OpenGL for this test (Haven't tried with Vulken yet). This happened just by being hooked.
Sonic Heroes : Causes micro-stutter (survivable...) and causes audio to go corrupt and change pitch at random loading points through most levels (survivable.. just not quality recording), both happen just by being hooked.
I also tested Borderlands 2 and it just would not record, however I found another issues inside Borderlands 2's synced settings that fixed several game issues, so I'll count that one out... for now.
I feel it's important to note, Nvidia Share (shadowplay), DxTory, and OBS Classic doesn't have any of these problems and captures just fine (Only DxTory has issues with PSO2) and I'll be using those, however I want the control offered by OBS Studio for recording, with some exception in mysteriously lost frames (which I made another post about, which got no answers >.>) OBS studio has the best performance/quality ratio and I'd like to take advantage of it.
Recording Settings (Primary used, I did try switching recorders when recording problems were involved)
Nvenc : CQP 20 : RGB Full Range : 1920x1080 60fps : High Quality and High profiles
Specs :
OBS Studio : Version 15.4 - 16.2
OS : Windows 10 (Anniversary Update - latest)
GPU : GTX 1070
CPU : Intel i7 6700k
RAM : 32 gb (currently clocked at 2100)
Recording Drive : 1T - 7200 RPM
I've uploaded the log file from a quick test in Super Galaxy Ultra. If I'm setting something wrong, please let me know. >.<
