Hi folks
I've browsed a few guides but I'm really struggling to either record or stream where the result doesn't come out with constant clunky freezing. I don't think it was quite so bad with my previous rig, but it had a little more juice under the box; I'm thinking that right now my current potato just isn't capable of utilising this sort of software and if so, that's okay I just want some kind of final confimation that I'm not being an idiot and leaving out/missing something essential that could make it all work.
My Rig:
133 quad core
8 gig ram
very basic Nvidia 2 gig display card
50mbs up and down (not sure how that translates into the more standard kbps measurement - yes I am a bit of a dunce with this stuff)
Could anyone drop what they feel would be the ideal settings to get something that produces acceptable results, or alternatively just tell me my potato is too much of a potato and I can at least quit it with the constant tweaking of settings until such time as I get a new rig/better line. For interest sake, both recording and streaming come out naff so I'm going to take a guess that I'll probably get the latter response seeing how my internet speed shouldn't have any bearing on recording, yet it comes out as bad as streaming.
