Streaming without recording?

Hello, I am a complete newbie when it comes to streaming stuff (outside of steam private streams that is) and was looking to try some casual twitch streaming; However, when setting up OBS I see it automatically records streams, which I would like to avoid for now, as I dont have that much extra HD space open and am just experimenting with it for the moment.
any way to configure things so that I can stream without it being recorded/the recordings getting saved?
I apologize if this is an obvious question, I tried looking up answers online but only found people asking the exact opposite question.

OBS won't record your stream unless you press "Start Recording" or turn on the option to automatically record when streaming.

Also go to General/Output and make sure record when streaming is unchecked..
