Streaming Windowed Project does not display correctly since 28.0.1

I use OBS as a streaming tool via streaming the Windowed Projector window out to another program.

Unfortunately since I updated to 28.0.1 whenever I try to stream that window what will actually display is a snapshot of other windows, or a blank white screen, or a tiny version of the Windowed Projector instead of the actual content inside of the Windowed Projector I'm trying to stream.

Attached is a picture showing what's on the Windowed Projector and should be showing up on the stream, and then a shot of what's actually showing up on the stream. Sometimes it will be a shot of my Discord application (which I *very* much don't want showing up on the actual stream obviously), or a random shot of my desktop, or the like.

It seems like something about the way the Windowed Projector displays itself was changed with this update which has made it no longer able to be picked up properly by a capture program. Is there a setting to revert it back to the previous way that worked for this setup?

I have the same issue since this new update. I can't stream on Discord anymore! Is there a way to fix this?

I have the same issue. For me, the streamed windowed projector window displays the OBS preview instead of the projector window.

EDIT: I just found a workaround: on OBS, disable preview then reactivate it.
Disabling the preview makes Discord stream correctly the windowed projector preview.

That is an interesting workaround, thanks for sharing it. I wish one of the OBS devs had actually responded to the issue so we could have an idea what caused the problem with whatever changed between the versions or how to fix it but I guess this is a niche enough thing it's not really worth the time for them. It's kind of a big deal that it actually can show other programs on my computer beside the intended one though, could lead to some potentially sensitive info being leaked as a result.

Definitely a bit awkward and unsafe even with the workaround.

This is still a big problem for me, Windowed mode does not stream to discord. Its either frozen or a black screen. I have tried un-installing all applications and reinstalling them but it does not work anymore. Is there a solution planned?
