Question / Help Streaming via 'Recording' mode not showing on destination system

Hello all. A first time user of OBS here.

I am attempting to get a video source (currently an Unifi UVC-G3-Flex PoE Camera) via RTSP (no authentication) and a web page overlay that shows race results to stream over our internal sports club network. The end goal is to have these combined sources displayed via a Raspberry Pi (3B+) connected to a Projector to show the racing (BMX) and the race times for participants and supporters as well as in the future, streaming to Facebook Live and additional Pi's within the clubrooms (eg; canteen).

I've had no issues in combining the two sources and creating the scene - it looks perfect in preview/program mode on the computer running OBS, however, I can not see the stream on the destination devices I've tested with. All I see is a green image (no sound - that's OK, It would be good if I can but the image is more important) or the stream does not show any image but does appear to connect.

The streaming setup is via the 'recording' mode within OBS, using FFmgeg output to URL, set as udp://224.0.0.1:8081 (see screenshots for setup).

The PC running OBS Studio 24.0.3 (64bit), and Windows 10 Pro - v1903, 8Gb RAM, Core i5 6500 @ 3.2Ghz with a Sandisk 256Gb SSD. It has a Gb network connection to the local network, where the testing devices are on the same VLAN, albeit on WIFI. Windows Firewall is on and set to Private Profile however rules are set to Allow for UDP & TCP 8081 (see above) as well as the OBS Studio (UDP & TCP all ports) exe's.

I tried connecting to the stream via Putty (telnet to port 8081) but it did not like the idea of a multicast address - duh!

Testing has been to an iPad (iOS 13.2.2) with VLC v3.2.2; MacBook Pro with VLC v3.0.8 (Catalina Beta 10.15); and Windows 10 (v1708 - enterprise) with VLC v3.0.8. On each device, the 'open network stream' has been used to try and get this working - including from the OBS PC itself with VLC - with no luck.

The OBS settings are attached in the screenshots.
The OBS Log file is at https://obsproject.com/logs/wD9WIm3JqYotr1Wv

Any guidance would be very much appreciated. I am not fussed if the stream is multicast or unicast, I just want it working! :)

I have seen multiple attempts in the last 2 years to stream RTSP out of OBS using Custom FFMpeg output. I have not seen any record of a successful configuration.

I assume that if you use VLC as your RTSP client on the same PC as OBS, that does not work?

I assume that if you use VLC as your RTSP streamer across your network, that DOES work?

May be helpful to eliminate all other potential problems.

Hi, thanks for your reply. VLC as the RTSP on the local PC or on another PC over the network both do not work.
