I am trying to connect my DSLR camera to my MacBook Pro (High Sierra) via OBS. My setup is as follows:
Camera - [Mini HDMI to HDMI cord] - Capture Card - [USB C to USB A] - Laptop
When using OBS, the game capture card is detected; however, the camera output is not detected. All I get is grey screen shown below. I searched all over the internet and I could not find anyone thread with a similar problem like mine. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Additional info:
- The HDMI is plugged in properly in the INPUT port of the capture card
- When I plug in the camera into the capture card, the camera display goes black (I believe that is normal when using HDMI).
- To check the integrity of the cord and the camera HDMI mini port, I plugged the camera directly into a projector and I DO receive an output.
- I tried checking on different platform such as the El Gato Game Capture software and Photobooth, and again, the Capture Card was detected but no output
- I'm aware of Canon EOS webcam utility but that utilizes a virtual camera. I'm already using the virtual camera for something else.
