Streaming issue - can you explain this discrepancy?

1. In Windows 10 versions 1809 and newer, we recommend that "Game Mode" be enabled for maximum gaming performance. Game Mode can be enabled via the Windows 10 "Settings" app, under Gaming > Game Mode
2. Run OBS as Admin
3. Stream with a wired connection
4. Post new log if still having issues or use log analyzer.

Wired connection is not possible in my circumstance; the router is in a different room from the PC and I cannot co-locate the two.
I thought gaming mode crippled OBS, not enhanced it.

Get an Ethernet over power adapter. In many cases, wireless connections can cause issues because of their unstable nature. Streaming really requires a stable connection. Often wireless connections are fine, but if you have problems, the first troubleshooting step would be to switch to wired. We highly recommend streaming on wired connections.

The "Game Mode" recommendation is per the OBS Log Analyzer. If you're on earlier version of Windows 10 than 1809 you shouldn't use "Game Mode" when using OBS, but you should update Windows 10 to a newer version per https://obsproject.com/blog/five-simple-tips-for-new-streamers and then use "Game Mode" when using OBS.
