Question / Help Streaming from Macbook Air via Capture Card Possible?

Hiya friends,

I've looked around and couldn't find a concrete answer on this...

I've a Macbook Air 13 (dual-core i5, Intel HD 6000, 8GB RAM) and I'm wondering if i'd be able to stream console gameplay to Twitch via capture card. I figured since I'm not actually gaming on the thing it might be possible. Has anyone tried this?

My goal is 720p 30-60 fps. I have 50GB upload, if it even matters.

It's very possible with those specs.

The capture card you want to use for OSX is the MAGEWELL XI100DUSB‑HDMI w/ an HDMI splitter.

The magewell works flawlessly with OBS and OSX. I can't recommend it enough.

@hellokyle12345 @momochi510 Welcome!What momochi510 said is true,the best(and lowest price) for Macs(doesn't matter which one) is Magewell XI100DUSB-HDMI.If you don't want it,you can try Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle.

I appreciate the recommendation. I had my eye on the Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle but will now look at the Magewell. I'm reading that it works internally so it can offload some of the work of my CPU which should be good.
