Is there any reasons why I shouldn't use x264 encoder for both streaming and recording simultaneously?
I stream at 720/5000kbps and would like to do recording with higher quality 1080. I tried the Apple VT hardware & software encoders as well, but bitrate seemed to be very low even though the bitrate was set to 10 000kbps in the settings. I used the stats window to monitor the bitrate.
Running OBS 25.0.8 & OS X 10.15.4 with MacBookPro 2018
