Question / Help Streaming 60+ in game but stream hangs and lags.

I have never really had much luck with streaming but OBS has got me further than anything i have ever tried.

I just played a game of Overwatch and got a solid 70-80fps the entire time i streamed but the stream itself hung for about 30sec or longer and kept jittering. Also the OBS scene was running perfectly fine with no noticeable lag but apparently i have a load of frame drops. Could anyone help me optimise my streams so they are smoother?

Rig:

OS - Windows 10 64bit
CPU - AMD FX-6300 @3.5Ghz
GPU - Asus STRIX Nvidia GTX 970 4GB
RAM - 16GB Kingston DDR3
MB - ASUSTeK M5A97 R2.0
AUDIO - Logitech G633 7.1 Surround Sound

Your system cannot handle the "faster" x264 preset.

Oh, okay then. What do you think would be the best setting for me to use? :) Also thank you for replying so quickly :)

the default of veryfast would end up being a lot better.
