I have already contacted Twitch about this, and I have already posted about this in the OBS discord (where the responses have been of no help). I am posting here in hopes that the responses will be more helpful than those on discord thus far:
After each of my streams on Twitch, I go to the Twitch VOD and "Highlight" it, cutting out a bit at the beginning and end. After that, I download the highlight to my PC.
As I went to cut the highlight for my stream from 4 October 2026, right toward the beginning as I would normally cut - just when I clicked "Start Game" in my GOG Galaxy client (an action only viewable to my eyes) -, the VOD showed my PC's OBS client window for about a millisecond, around 0:12:05 in. It was so short that I couldn't force the VOD to pause on that frame, but I was able to take a screenshot from my PC as proof. I also cut a 10-second highlight from that VOD showing the before-during-after.
I have never had this happen before, and I don't think I would have noticed if it hadn't been where I was going to cut the intro in the highlight. It scares me, because there is no reason it should have shown that to the entire world. I don't have any sources in OBS that are capturing the OBS client window itself. Luckily, from what I could see in the screenshot, there wasn't any doxxing information, but I would hate to think of the implications if there had been such information. What if this is happening (or could happen) to other Twitch streamers or OBS users, unbeknownst to them?
Any idea what is going on and how to prevent this from happening? As I mentioned, I will reiterate that I have never seen this happen before, and this was the 11th stream I have done of this particular game. The vast majority of games that I play and/or stream are launched through the GOG Galaxy client (or, less frequently, through my Steam client). I have changed none of my settings for Twitch, OBS, GOG Galaxy client, or the game itself. The OBS scene for this particular game is set to Window Capture for the game itself (I am not using the Game Capture option); it is not set to capture the GOG Galaxy client window, and it is most definitely not set to capture the OBS client window.
I will insert the URL of the 10-second highlight showing the before-during-after.
Also, here is the Log File for the session in question:
