Question / Help Stream to Skype?

I would like what is currently shown in my scene to be 'streamed' to Skype.
With XSplit, you just select the "XsplitBroadcaster" source in your Skype options.
I cannot find a similar option in OBS Studio. Could someone help me with this? It would mean a lot.

Sorry but OBS Studio does not include this feature right now, it could eventually be implemented to a next update if someone ask on reddit or the forum (you could eventually ^^) so... Sorry about that! If you want this feature stick to XSplit currently...

Thanks! I guess I'll have to preview the stream on a separate display and screen capture that with Skype for now. I know nothing about coding (well not this coding at least) and wouldn't know who to talk to to get this implemented. I don't have an X-Split license so that's a no-go as well. Could you help me find the right outlet to get this feature added? Thanks so much! (I liked your post, by the way)
 
Yes that's a good idea! If you want to suggest this implementation you should go to this page , sadly i can't help you about posting pull request because i seriously don't know how to use this sh*t so why not find for a YouTube video ^^

Pull requests are only if you've written code that you'd like "pulled" into OBS Studio.

If you have a suggestion or request for a new feature in OBS Studio, and you don't know how to write code, your options are:
  • Post a thread in this forum with the "Feedback/Suggestion" prefix
  • Post a Mantis report marked as "feature" for severity
