Hello!
I've recently discovered that you can use Yellow Duck to stream to Instagram Live from OBS. This works well by creating a virtual phone from which the stream is sent. However, while streaming in this fashion you are unable to view your stream with your own account, respond to Live Chat or otherwise use the LIVE interface. It seems that, with this method, it's impossible to invite people to join your Live (Live Room) or to accept other people's invitation.
I e-mailed Yellow Duck about this and got the reply "Try asking on the OBS forum".
If it's not possible with Yellow Duck, do you have any other ideas? There's a Fake Cam Virtual Cam app on Android that seemed like it'd be able to do this, but I was unable to get it to work... Just found a similar thread from three years ago and it looks like the Chilean streamer mentioned in the last post was doing something similar to the Fake Cam....
