I am going insane with this. I've been looking around for 2h now on a lead to solving this. I am too lazy to write my spec or a log so pardon my ignorance, I know my PC can run the stream just fine and I know that it is 100% a bug... bear with me. So I wanted to stream Apex today, and my viewers said it's running horribly on stream, I checked and sure it was indeed. Tried everything that I could find on the internet and nothing worked. So how am I so certain this is some sort of bug ? I basically streamed the same game for 3 days in a row previously with the same computer, same setup, same settings ( in game and OBS ) everything exactly the same and I even have the replay of the stream on twitch, and it was perfect. Today it's just terrible, it's like 5fps on live while I'm tabbed in the game, however the game itself runs just as fine, the PC isn't even breaking a sweat, I tried tweaking obs settings, settings in game, reinstalled OBS, nothing seems to work. And so the only thing I noticed, and this is so strange to me, is that when I am tabbed out, the stream is basically back to normal, but while tabbed in the game it's choppy as hell ( on live ), as if the function is reversed somehow. I have had a similar issue with R6 before, I solved it by just turning down the scale render to 50% ... why that worked I have no f clue because similarly it worked fine and then after some time it decided "hmm you know what you gotta turn that render scale down or else" , but it fixed it by some black magic, however this game Apex Legends does not have any graphical option that seems to do the job... so here I am complaining like a little b.
