Stream settings for OBS when remotely streaming with RTSP.

Does anyone have any recommendations for stream settings within OBS that should be used when streaming remotely with RTSP url direct from Axis cameras (P5635 MK II)?

I am experiencing slight pixelation/discoloration and a small bit of latency/lag. I am unsure as to what needs to be adjusted within OBS to optimize the RTSP feed that I am establishing remotely.

I searched the web and was unsuccessful in finding any information.

Thanks in advance.

How did you get on? I'm using an Axis v5925 and I was using Axis Streaming Assistant with OBS, but enabled Secure Boot and apparently that's a no-no, so now setting up RTSP. Like you, lots of pixelation/discoloration and a small bit of latency/lag
Having watched a few videos (I'm streaming @ 1080p, 25fps) I have
  • Dropped my bitrate from 10,000 to 6,826
  • Increased H.264 compression from 1 to 49
  • Changed Zipstream from Off to Medium
  • Ensured Dynamic FPS and Dynamic GOP are off
  • Changed P-frames from 61 to 0
I'm grounded with Covid at the moment so have not been able to see the impact of this yet. Hoping to watch a livestream from the camera/OBS at the weekend and will see how my deputy gets on..
Viewing the camera in a browser locally or via Axis Companion is not a problem.
Is the camera ok in your preview window? I dont see how OBS can fix a poor stream received
