Hello there,
I'm thinking about returning to streaming. In the past I did so by utilizing two computers, and the NDI plugin, so I could use one computer for gaming, and the other one for streaming. Speaking of shared resources etc. In the past my specs were a bit lower than today, and so I'm thinking about if it's still wise to use two computers with NDI, or just do it all on one computer.
1st PC specs:
intel 10700k
Nvidia RTX 3700 Gainward
32gb RAM G.Skill Ripjaws @3600Mhz
970 Evo M2
Monitor: HP 27mx 1980x1024@144hz
2nd Specs:
Ryzen 2700x
Sapphire Vega 56
16gb RAM G.Skill Ripjaws @3200Mhz
Two SSD summing up for 1.256GB by WD I believe(can't exactly remember)
Monitor: Samsung WQHG with 75hz
So obviously the second system is a bit dated. But it should suffice for streaming only? I do also have capable internet with up to 1.000Mbps, never dropping lower than 750Mbps. At least that's what my router OS says. What do you say? 1st computer enough, or keep on using two PCs just for the sake of making it dedicated. I'm afraid I also don't know if NDI has become a bottleneck on modern systems?
