Question / Help Stream randomly disconnects

Hi,

I've been trying to do some facebook live video streams of my DJ sets. I'll get to about 30-45 minutes along, and then randomly the stream just stops without warning.

It still looks like it's streaming in OBS as the stream button says 'Stop Streaming'. But it's not being broadcast through facebook live.

Why would this be? My Internet speeds are:

My settings on OBS are:

I'd appreciate very much if you can help.

Thanks. I've had to attach the log as a txt document as I have opened OBS since the live stream.

The log says: the connection to the streaming service was severed due to some connectivity issue. Your machine didn't terminate the connection, and the streaming service didn't terminate the connection, but something in between your machine and the streaming service didn't transfer any data packets any more, so OBS considered the connection dead.

This is the connection issue guide that applies for this kind of issue: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

OBS is losing connection to the streaming server. This can be caused by a problem with your local network, with your ISP, throttling, or a problem with the platform.

Thanks for the replies. Should I change the audio and video bit rate settings and if so what to ?

Unlikely. Twitch has been experiencing moderate technical difficulties recently, so it may not be any issue with your setup.

If you think it is, run the auto-configuration wizard from the Tools menu.

Or run TwitchTest:

Thanks. So what should I / can I change, if anything ? I ran the auto config tool, it just said to increase the video bitrate, but doesn't mention audio bit rate, I changed that to 128 anyway and did a fb stream yesterday, it cut out at 40 minutes in.

I have had this problem lately and I see others are too. It might have something to do with Copywrite. Is everyone playing music through it? NO solution as of yet that I can see

Well I used restream.io to stream to three multiple platforms at the same time, youtube, twitch and facebook.... I did a live stream for two hours which was fine on youtube and twitch... but facebook just randomly cuts out anywhere usually between 40-60 minutes.

Weird thing is some DJs I see do streams on facebook which last for as long as they want ... 2 or 3 hours or whatever.

Don't understand how.

seems a wider problem... I have the same issue with FB.... around 38 minute mark for me and yet a mate of mine has literally just finished streaming on FB Live with a 360p resolution on a crappy phone using the mic for audio for 3h 30 mins!

I'm using restream.io as well and this is rather troubling that I am only having these disconnect problems with Facebook.

Also having the same issue, Have done around 20 streams at 2 hours+ with no problems at all, then the last 2 I have tried have been giving me random disconnects.

Nothing has changed with my setup or internet connection, I've even tried lowering bitrate etc but no luck.

I experienced the same problem, but mostly with OBS Live. On the contrary, Streamlabs Obs which uses lots of CPU does not have that problem. What am I doing wrongly?

Another restream user here. Just had to end a twitch stream because OBS keeps disconnecting in the middle of streaming tonight. I wonder if the issue lies with restream.io itself? Been using service for months to stream to twitch and picarto with no issues until tonight. I know it's not a ram or cpu problem and I haven't changed my settings. I hope whatever is going on is solved soon!

Hi there, I am also having the same problem. September 21 I was still able to stream but since yesterday, I could not go live to facebook.

It showed a disconnecting/reconnecting message several times then after successful connection the Delay status shows a constant red color with 0 kb/s.
