Question / Help Stream quality at 720p 30fps

Hi there,

I'm trying to get into streaming, and I'm in the process of testing my setup. However, when I try and stream at 720p and 30fps, the quality is pretty poor (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/122236119).

I was using the fastest encoding preset to stream this, would slowing it down improve the quality?
OBS never clocked the CPU usage at over ~35%, so I should have room to make this change, right?

Thanks for your help

What is your bitrate? The faster your cpu usage, the lower the quality will be. I've been streaming at a bitrate of 3500 with CPU Usage set to Faster, and it's been of decent 720p quality.

I was using a bitrate of 2000, I read a few posts on these forums saying that it was a happy medium between quality and watchability for viewers with slower connections.
I'll try your suggested settings tonight and post my results
