For some reason, when I started up OBS last night to stream, it acted like I had opened it for the first time and erased all of my settings. It kept all my video and audio sources, but everything under File > Settings had been reset, very oddly and annoyingly -- nothing happened to my laptop, and I had just used the program perfectly fine in my last stream without it crashing or anything.
So I attempted to revert all my settings back as I had them, which was really annoying because I felt I had fine-tuned everything before and had to do it all over with a pretty vague memory. Streaming to Twitch, I set my resolution back to 1080p, common FPS value to 60, and changed the Color Space to sRGB, and for my output settings, I kept it on x264 with the bitrate at 6500 and my CPU usage to faster -- not sure if this was how I had it, but this was to the best of my memory. Aside from these, I don't think I changed anything from the defaults. I stream through a capture card, so I believe x264 is the best for good quality (and you don't have to worry about CPU usage as you would if you were streaming a game from your computer).
Anyways, while the stream looked perfect for the most part, I did notice that really fast actions, such as scrolling through menus, would cause brief moments of pixelation/blurring. Here is an example of me navigating the Switch menu; notice how when a game icon loads at the bottom, it will be really distorted for about a second before looking proper. To be honest, I can't say for certain whether or not I had this issue with my previous settings, but does anyone know if there's a way to fix this without lowering the resolution? Is it correct that x264 is better than NVIDIA NVENC (new) for streaming from a capture card as long as your computer can handle it?
Here is my log file, thanks for any help.
