Question / Help Stream on Twitch keeps lagging when moving.

I have been using OBS for about 2 weeks now. When I first started my stream quality was good with no lags. I recently acquired a camera and ever since I started using it the stream keeps freezing up. I tried unplugging the camera and restarting the program and that did not help. I am not sure if I messed with a setting somewhere and the camera is just unrelated.

My download speed is ~100 and my upload is ~10.

What res is the camera running at?

Native camera res (1080p, whatever) can use quite a bit of CPU power. I'd make sure it's running at 480p or lower, especially if it's just sitting in the corner of your stream.

Your CPU might not be able to keep up, especially if you're playing a CPU intensive game.

Is there a way to turn down the camera res on OBS? I went in under the camera settings on windows and changed it to 720p 30fps but I do not see any visible difference.

Click on the camera in sources, then hit "Properties". Change Resolution/FPS Type to "custom" and then change the resolution from the drop-down menu.

I changed the camera settings down to 720 on OBS and the stream is still lagging hard. I am starting to think the camera is unrelated
