Question / Help Stream just ends - bitrate 0 still says running

Hey folks.
For some reason obs just stops transmitting data and the stream ends. All the settings are the same since I upgraded my computer from a Ryzen 2700x > 3900x. Also changed my gpu from RTX 2060 > 5700XT. I am running obs off of the CPU, which previously the 2700x had no issues at all. When the stream runs it looks great. but it only runs for a few minutes then it conks out.

Here is a log file. I am wondering if it could perhaps have something to do with the amd drivers gpu or cpu? I have also checked background apps and programs that could cause issues but nothing that has been mentioned on here is running. So maybe you will see something in the log file that you can make sense of :)

Many thanks for your time.

Your GPU is repeatedly crashing (Device Removed Reason: 887A0006), make sure your drivers are up to date. The initial series of Ryzen 3000 motherboards seem quite unstable, check your vendor for updated BIOS if available.

Thank you. I had a feeling it was the drivers. Lots of issues when you decide to be an early adopter of new tech. Will have to wait until they come out with new drivers and hope it gets fixed. And waiting for bios updates from asus, hmm might take a while. Thanks for your response

Yeah. Any time you see "Device Removed Reason" in the log it's a very bad sign, it means the GPU driver reported the device had to be reset (called removal since it acts as if it was removed and re-added back to the system).

I see... so this update didn't really fix it. It's a shame I'd love to use older drivers but with the gpu being so new I don't think I am able to. Might give it a try though >.<

getting this error too. running a 5700xt with a 3700x on an ASUS X570 Prime Pro. no driver seems to work. My instance is happening in Apex legends. It streams perfectly fine until i actually load into a game, the title stream captures perfectly.

The Ryzen 3000 series seems very unstable currently. Hopefully board manufacturers release updated firmware / microcode soon.

Glad to hear someone else is having this issue and is not just me.
Real pain in the backside. Not sure how to go about it. I did have an amd representative ask me questions about it on reddit, gave them all the info I could and they said they passed it on but hopefully more people get in touch with them. I just cant seem to stream apex.

Are you having any troubles with any other games?
Also I take it that your encoding with your cpu?
I'm going to try with the gpu. Might work who knows. (just tried and I instantly was given a green screen, now everything is red and purple. Great)
Guess not

This also locks my system up for some reason. Since the new bios update (x470 prime pro) I can stream for a few minutes on apex it stops sending data then my computer just hangs, then black screen.

Slight update. Turns out I can stream other games now, but doesn't want to keep on streaming Apex Legends. Not sure why.
I have since yesterday updated my bios as well as the new gpu drivers, although the gpu drivers mentioned nothing about my current issue.

Something does look a little funny and different this time around, might not be the issue - HandShake: client signature does not match!
Here is the last log file link - https://obsproject.com/logs/PW_nbrQP3iGZAFyU

Hopefully I can resolve this issue. I really would like to be able to stream apex >.<

'capture window no longer exists, terminating capture' is the latest issue. I no longer am getting the device removed. Which is a good thing. Must have been the drivers. but still somewhat having the same issue. Just stops sending data.

Still watching this thread and i'm still getting the same errors in apex only. I figured i'd give my update since we're having the same issues.
I've switched to using x264 cpu on fast with no issues 4-5000 bitrate. It's a fix for apex, but still kinda silly. No crashes so far. Every other game works fine on GPU encoding. Using drivers 19.8.1 from AMD

I have had the same problems for about two months: / At first I had this error:
Failed to recreate D3D11: Failed to create input layout (80070057)

Now to change the same problem as you have!!!

I'm going through dual pc streaming.
In the streaming pc I use:
Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro
I have connected to streaming pc:
2xLogitech Webcam C922 Pro Stream
2xBehringer C-1U
2xAcer Nitro VG270bmiix - LED monitor 27"

I'm really starting to say that the problem is either:
1)In windows 10
2)In Obs Studio
3)In the graphics card driver
4)In capture card

Why?
1)I have everything up to date and even reinstalled the whole system.
2)I tried the older version and the problem persisted. I am currently using the latest one
3)I tried the older version and the problem persisted. I am currently using the latest one
4)The only thing I can think of here is that I send the editing card 1080p 144Hz and it does not like it or the graphics card just somehow handle.

My game monitor has quite a non-standard resolution (2560x1080 144Hz) but I use it (1080p) and because when I use its standard resolution (2560x1080), it logically creates stripes because I broadcast in 1080p 60 fps.
Isn't it possible that the graphics card could not receive 1080p 144Hz while displaying 2x1080p 60Hz on my monitors? By the way, I'm 100% sure that my GTX 1070 is in 100% condition.
I even bought a new source into the streaming pc to eliminate enough juice for my components(Seasonic Focus Plus Gold - 850W)

My streaming pc:
  • MB: ASRock B450M PRO4
  • WIN: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
  • CPU: Amd Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: Msi Geforce 1070 Gaming X 8G 8Gb
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance Black 16Gb DDR4 3000Mhz
  • PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus Gold - 850W
  • SSD: Samsung SSD 960 EVO (M.2) - 250GB
  • HDD: Seagate BarraCuda - 2TB
  • CASE: Be quiet! Silent Base 801
  • MONITOR1: Acer Nitro VG270bmiix - LED monitor 27"
  • MONITOR2: Acer Nitro VG270bmiix - LED monitor 27"
  • CPU COLER: Be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 4
  • SOUND CARD: Creative Sound Blaster ZX
  • EDITINGCARD: Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro
  • WEBCAM1: Logitech Webcam C922 Pro Stream
  • WEBCAM2: Logitech Webcam C922 Pro Stream
  • WEBCAM3: Creative Live! Cam Sync HD
  • MICROPHONE1: Behringer C-1U
  • MICROPHONE2: Behringer C-1U
  • HEADPHONES1: Logitech G231 Prodigy
  • HEADPHONES2: Logitech G231 Prodigy
  • GREENSCREEN: Elgato Green Screen
I still wonder if my problems cannot be associated with my motherboard(ASRock B450M PRO4 - AMD B450) Because what we're going to talk about ... This record isn't exactly high end

But honestly ... Do you really think your graphics card is causing this problem? If it did graphics cards from one manufacturer so I might believe it but if it does a colleague who has GK from AMD and I have the same problem with GK from NVIDIA

I'm planning to buy these components

https://www.czc.cz/ddmiao50kgig0b4vpd7pvjrv7a/seznam

but I'm afraid I throw the money out the window and it won't solve the problem: /

Next, I think that instead of Windows 10 I try to install Windows 7 but honestly I do not reinstall the third time too much.

The bug is obviously in driver products such as graphics card, motherboard, etc ... In Windows or Obs Studio and would be really great if someone finally did something about it.

It is interesting that through the application 4k Capture Utility (application from Elgato) I have from her editing card so there is no problem to record in 2k at 60 fps(nvenc encoding). But I turn on Obs and I still get an error message and I try to stream it only in fullhd at 60 fps(x264 or Nvenc encoding)
