Hello everyone!
I`m new with OBS Studio/OBS Classic and i really want to know what i need to change to reduce pixelation when i`m streaming high montion games or FPS games.
I search on google for some tutorials and no one helped me too much so i decided to open this thread.
My PC Specs are:
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0 GHZ
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 Asus ROG Edition (non OC)
16 GB of RAM
Windows 10 Pro

And my OBS Studio setting are the following:
Output:
Encoder x264
Rate control: CBR
Bitrate: 3500
Buffer size: 3500 (unchecked i see no change)
Keyframe Interval: 2
CPU Usage: Fast
Profile: High

Video:
Base Resolutin 1920x1080
Output resolution 1280x720
Downscale filter: Lanczos
FPS: 60

Advanced settings are default
Somewhere i attached a log file :)
Thanks in advice!

Can I see one for the witcher and another game at thirty fps? I know overwatch has a LOT of motion on it which would cause the pixelation.

No matter how high end your PC is Viliachi, I have come to realize that OBS is losing its quality. I have tried everything in the book and I too have a wonderful computer. When i first started streaming with OBS the quality was wonderful. Now days these updates are getting worse and worse. I too would like to know why streams have been coming out so pixelated. Even while recording video at the highest bitrate it still looks bad.

I really don't think this is anything to do with OBS more to do with the level of detail in video games nowadays. There's only so much information you can feed into a stream and with games like Overwatch you are pushing the bounds of what is achievable.

You've got a few options. Lower the frame rate means less data to encode. Lower the CPU preset, a balance of quality versus CPU usage, with your 6700ks you may have headroom for this option.

Of course you can also try Xsplit or another paid for solution :-)

I'm extremely happy with the stream quality I get from OBS but like all things it's built on compromise, check out my recent Doom stream to see what a balance of lower frame rate but lower CPU preset can give you.
